The Center for Environmental Informatics (CEI) focuses on the development of new and innovative approaches to the creation, dissemination, and applied use of environmental information resources.
Through an approach that combines interactive feature-rich user interfaces with the geospatial capabilities of web map server technology, CEI has pioneered the application of emerging Internet technologies for a wide-range of environmental and agricultural decision support tools. This approach provides enhanced access to spatial and temporal information, tailored specifically to the domain of interest, in order to improve the understanding and management of environmental systems.
